Vice President receives 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award

Jakarta – wapresri.go.id Vice President Jusuf Kalla received the Obsession Media Group (OMG) President Director Usamah Hisyam and his staff at the Vice President’s Office on Jalan Merdeka Utara, Jakarta, Tuesday (April 25).

In the meeting, Hisyam told the Vice President OMG’s plan to present H.M. Jusuf Kalla with “Lifetime Achievement Award 2017” for he is considered to have contributed in various fields.

“This lifetime achievement award is the highest award (given by OMG). … Other figures who received this award include Mr. Hatta Ali in the field of law enforcement and Ibu Sri Mulyani in the field of economy,” he said.

He further explained that Jusuf Kalla is considered to meet the criteria of the highest award recipients because of his devotion and totality as an entrepreneur, politician, as well as humanitarian and religious activist, and has contributed greatly to the nation.

“We have found that the trace of Pak Jusuf Kalla’s contribution to this nation is highly measurable and complete from all sides. He even still leads several institutions. That is the main reason why we decided that Pak Jusuf Kalla get this highest lifetime achievement this year,” argued OMG Media Director Andi Nursaiful who also attended the meeting.

In response, the Vice President expressed his gratitude for the award.

He further said that OMG should continue to provide information, knowledge, or entertainment to the community with objective measures.

“The award given must (also) be objective and could certainly give meaning to the wider community,” said the Vice President.

OMG is a media group that publishes “Men’s Obsession” magazine, “Women’s Obsession” magazine, and the news portal “obsessionnews.com”. The “Lifetime Achievement Award” is the highest award given annually by this media group to figures who are thought to have dedicated their lives to humanity and peace. (KIP, Setwapres)
