Semarang, wapresri.go.id – After carrying out Friday prayers at the Baiturrahman Mosque, Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin and his entourage headed to the Central Java Governor’s Office, to hand over assistance from the Central Java Baznas to 6,000 productive mustahik (zakat recipients), Friday (23/09/2022).

The assistance provided to mustahik was in the form of business funding support of Rp2, 500,000. Meanwhile, the business clusters that received assistance were workshops, grocery, laundry, tailors, animal husbandry, agriculture, fish farming, culinary, catering, and vegetable traders.

The 6,000 mustahik who received the funds came from 35 cities in Central Java, which were represented by 5 mustahik. In handing over the assistance, the Vice President was accompanied by the General Chairperson of the Baznas Central Java Province, KH Ahmad Darodji.

To these mustahiks, the Vice President encouraged them to seek rizki (make money). He also hoped that the mustahik would be successful in running the business so that in the future they would no longer receive zakat, but give zakat (being a muzakki).

“So that you do not continue to receive [zakat], but give zakat. So that there will be changes, this means that we help you to run productive businesses so that you can advance your class. Ready?” asked the Vice President excitedly.

“Ready,” replied the mustahiq in unison.
