With 77 existing Malls in districts/cities and 26 MPPs were inaugurated today by the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) at the Vice President’s Palace, witnessed by Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin. It shows that all parties are firmly committed to continuously improving the quality of service to the community.
“The existence of 103 MPPs indicates the success of the 2022 target meeting and a concrete step of collaboration between sectors towards the integration of quality public service delivery for the community,” emphasized the Vice President at the Launching of Thematic Bureaucratic Reform and the Inauguration of 26 MPPs at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan No. 6, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/12/2022).
The Vice President specifically conveyed 5 (five) directives to certain institutions to develop MPP; therefore, we can further improve the quality of public services.
“First, the PANRB Ministry will immediately formulate and implement a more dynamic MPP breakthrough through a digital platform,” said the Vice President.
Second, the Ministry of Investment must improve the Electronically Integrated Business Licensing System (OSS).
“I still hear complaints and issues regarding OSS services in districts/cities. For this reason, OSS can be integrated with MPP Digital soon,” he said.
Third, regions with low fiscal capacity must receive more attention through additional budgets.
“Bappenas and the Ministry of Finance should provide budget support to improve the quality of public services for local governments, especially for regions with low fiscal capacity,” he explained.
Furthermore, regional leaders are expected to integrate the several services of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) into a single unit in the MPP.
“The Governors, Regents, and Regional Secretaries are strongly committed and jointly integrate various OPD services in one MPP implementation,” said the Vice President.
Finally, the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) and the Minister of Home Affairs, together with the Executive Secretary of KPRBN, should complete the Digital MPP Design; consequently, we can adopt it in other regions.
“After being assessed in the selected areas, we hope that this design can soon be replicated in other areas so that we can ascertain the MPP achievement targets in all regencies/cities in 2024,” he said.
Concerning the Thematic Bureaucratic Reform (BR) Program, the Vice President said that this program needs to be encouraged to strengthen the role of the bureaucracy in supporting the national priority agenda.
“The PANRB Ministry, together with certain Ministries and Institutions, as well as all Regional Governments, absolutely support the implementation of Thematic RB commitments,” he said.
Previously, PANRB Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas explained that the declaration of the Thematic BR Program was an effort to make the bureaucracy capable of answering and resolving strategic issues in society. Such as poverty, ease of investment, digitization of government, and the President’s actual priorities.
“Right now, the BR is generally focused on improving systems and internal management to solve bureaucratic problems. In the future, this program will add the focus on issues of government programs or downstream problems,” said the Vice President.
