Merauke, wapresri.go.id – After holding a meeting with leaders of the Papuan Communion of Churches (PGGP) in Papua and West Papua Provinces at the State Finance Building, Jayapura City, Papua Province, Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin went to Sentani International Airport, Jayapura to fly to Merauke, South Papua Province, Tuesday (29/11/2022).
The Indonesian Air Force’s Boeing 737-400 Presidential Aircraft carrying the Vice President and Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma’ruf Amin and his entourage took off for Merauke at 15.30 WIT. The Regional Secretary of the Papua Muhammad Ridwan Ru Masukun, along with all members of the Papua Province Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, saw off the Vice President and his entourage,
After flying for approximately one hour and twenty minutes, the Vice President and his entourage arrived at Mopah International Airport, Merauke, around 16.50 WIT.
The Acting Governor of South Papua Apolo Safanpo and all members of the Regional Leaders Coordination Forum for South Papua Province welcomed the Vice President. Young people dressed in traditional Papuan clothing welcomed the Vice President with a Welcome Dance accompanied by the typical Papuan Tifa musical instrument.
The following Wednesday (30/11/2022), the Vice President is scheduled to carry out several work agendas in Merauke, including visiting Semangga Jaya Village, Semangga District, to greet farmers and hand over plant seeds and essential food assistance.
Then in the afternoon, the Vice President and his entourage departed for Mimika, Central Papua Province, to inaugurate the Somatua Training Center Building and carry out several other work agendas.
After carrying out various activities in Mimika the afternoon of the same day, the Vice President and his entourage flew directly to Kaimana, West Papua Province. (SM/LHS-BPMI Setwapres)
