Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – The government continues to make efforts to accelerate the elimination of extreme poverty in the territory of Indonesia. One of the efforts made is to improve the accuracy of data on the number of people belonging to the extreme poor category. For this reason, it is necessary to have a synergy between the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Social Affairs, the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), and the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration as related institutions in adopting the data integration process as a measure to deal with extreme poverty.
“There will be data integration with DTKS data from the Ministry of Social Affairs, data from the BKKBN, then data from the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration, so that everything is combined into one single data,” said the Vice President in his statement to the media crew, after chairing the meeting of Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2022 concerning the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty, at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan No. 6, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (03/08/2022).
Furthermore, the Vice President stated that the ministries/agencies that were directly related to the handling of extreme poverty continued to update and validate the data of the extreme poor category.
“Validation has been carried out by integrating the data,” he added.
On the other hand, the Vice President emphasized that he was optimistic about the completion of data integration. It will be supported both in terms of human resources and the budget that has been allocated for the matter.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy said the government was designing Targeted Data for the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty (P3KE) as a medium for monitoring, tracking, and validating the number of people belonging to the extreme poor. P3KE data is the final data from the triangulation of updating existing community data. The P3KE data is expected to facilitate access to the distribution of aid from the government to the community in a priority target.
“So it is true that what we prioritize is the data accuracy. Therefore, for managing extreme poverty, we use specific data, called P3KE,” said Muhadjir.
Furthermore, this P3KE is the final data from triangulation, updated through sorting existing data. The Vice President said that ministries/agencies would continue to contribute and collaborate with each other in improving the integration of the data, such as the BPS survey, DTKS Ministry of Social Affairs, BKKBN Family Center Data, and Village SDGs from the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration.
“There will be additions from the Ministry of Health, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, we will compile it later, we will make sure who really belongs to the target group, by name by address,” he added. (DMA/LHS– BPMI Setwapres)
