Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin and Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma’ruf Amin and his entourage, Sunday (25/09/2022), leave for Japan to attend the state funeral procession of Former Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Shinzo Abe.

Using the BBJ2/A-001 Presidential Plane, the Vice President and his entourage will take off from Halim Perdanakusuma Jakarta International Airport to Haneda International Airport, Tokyo, Japan, at around 08.25 WIB.

After traveling for 7 hours and 20 minutes, the Vice President will arrive at Haneda Airport at 18:00 local time. In Tokyo, the Vice President will be welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador to Japan and the Federation of Micronesia, His Excellency Heri Akhmadi, and the Indonesian Defense Attaché in Tokyo, Col. (AF) Andi Nur Abadi

The following day, Monday (26/09/2022), the Vice President is scheduled to pay a Courtesy Call on Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio at Akasaka Palace. At this meeting, the two leaders will discuss several strategic issues between the two countries.

On the third day, Tuesday (27/09/2022), at around 14.00 local time, the Vice President, accompanied by Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma’ruf Amin, will attend the state funeral procession of Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Nippon Budokan.

As is known, former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe died on Friday (08/07/2022) due to a shooting incident by a man while giving a speech at a campaign event in Nara, Japan.

After attending the funeral procession, at around 18.13 local time, the Vice President and Mrs. Wury are scheduled to attend a Greeting Occasion with the Prime Minister of Japan at the Akasaka Palace.

On the fourth day, Wednesday (28/09/2022), at around 08.00 local time, the Vice President and his entourage will return to Jakarta.

Governor Anies Baswedan and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of DKI Jakarta came to see off the Vice President and his entourage at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, DKI Jakarta.

Also accompanying the Vice President on this visit, the Head of the Secretariat of the Vice President Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy Setwapres for Government Policy Support and National Insights Velix Wanggai, Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Andy Rachmianto, Special Staff for The Vice President Mohamad Nasir, Information Masduki Baidlowi, Robikin Emhas, and the Expert Team of the Vice President Johan Tedja Surya.
