Based on Presidential Regulation No. 9 of 2022, revitalizing the Indonesian Air Force Base/Halim Perdanakusuma Airport facility aims to improve flight safety and security, including the state-run Naratetama and Naratama flight services. From the revitalization results, the runway measuring 3000 meters x 45 meters is now suitable for serving wide-body aircraft (such as the Boeing-777). In addition, the capacity of the Naratetama and Naratama aprons has also increased from what was originally only for three small-bodied aircraft, now to four small-bodied aircraft or two wide-bodied aircraft.
Not only that, the Naratetama and Naratama buildings have also been expanded from the original 1,500 square meters to 5,270 square meters. Likewise, the TNI AU’s operating terminal has increased from 500 square meters to 2,230 square meters. (SM/LHS-BPMI Setwapres)
