Leaving For Surakarta, Vice President to Open ASEAN Para Games XI 2022

Jakarta, wapresri.go.id –Today, Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin accompanied by Mrs. Wury Ma’ruf Amin and his entourage pays a working visit to Surakarta, Central Java, to inaugurate the Opening of the ASEAN Para Games XI 2022, Saturday (30/07/2022).

By Boeing 736-400 Indonesian Air Force, the Vice President and his entourage take off from the VIP Building of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, at 16.30 WIB.

Upon arrival at the Adi Soemarmo TNI AU Air Base, Boyolali Regency, Central Java Province, the Vice President is welcomed by the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and Mrs. Siti Atiqoh Ganjar Pranowo.

Afterward, the Vice President and his entourage go directly to Manahan Stadium, Jl. Adi Sucipto No. 1 Surakarta.

At Manahan Stadium, the Vice President is welcomed by Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali, President of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) Osoth Bhalivai, and the Mayor of Surakarta and Chairman of the Indonesian ASEAN Para Games Organizing Committee (INASPOC) Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The Vice President takes part in the series of processions for the opening of the ASEAN Para Games XI 2022, which is attended by 10 Southeast Asian countries.

The ASEAN Para Games XI 2022 is the largest disability sports competition in Southeast Asia, which will be held in Surakarta from 30 July to 6 August 2022. This event will include 14 sports, namely Para Athletics, Para Swimming, Para-Badminton, Table Tennis, Para Chess, Para Powerlifting, Boccia, Blind Judo, Goalball, Wheelchair Tennis, Para Archery, CP Football, Wheelchair Basketball and Sitting Volleyball.

Also accompanying the working visit, the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah, Head of the Secretariat of the Vice President Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy for Human Development Policy Support and Development Equity Suprayoga Hadi, Special Staff of the Vice President Masduki Baidlowi, and the Vice President’s Expert Team Farhat Brachma.
