Cairo, wapresri.go.id – After completing several agendas during a 4 (four) day working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin and Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma’ruf Amin and his entourage left for Cairo, Egypt, Friday (11/04/2022).

After flying for approximately 4 (four) hours from Dubai’s Al-Maktoum International Airport, the Vice President arrived at Cairo International Airport at 18:57 local time.

In welcoming the arrival of the Vice President at the airport in Cairo, Some of them are Egyptian Minister of Waqf Affairs Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt Lutfi Rauf, and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Cairo Col. Aria Sanggita Saleh.

For information, during this working visit to Cairo, the Vice President will carry out some agendas. One of them will meet with students and the Indonesian diaspora at the Wisma Duta of the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) Cairo on Saturday night (05/11/2022).

At the meeting, the Vice President will witness the handover of scholarships from the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) to representatives of Indonesian students who are currently studying in Egypt.

Then the next day, Sunday (11/06/2022), the Vice President is scheduled to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. After the sightseeing, the Vice President and his entourage will go to Sharm El Sheikh to attend the COP 27 Climate Change Summit series.

Besides Mrs. Wury Ma’ruf Amin, accompanying the Vice President on the flight to Cairo was including the Head of the Vice President Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy for Human Development Policy Support and Equality Development Suprayoga Hadi, Director General of Asia Pacific and Africa Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdul Kadir Jailani, Special Staff for the Vice President for Communication and Information, Masduki Baidlowi, Special Staff for the Vice President for General Affairs, Masykuri Abdillah, Acting Head of State Protocol/Director of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Simon Djatwoko Irwantoro Soekarno, and Head of Baznas Noor Ahmad.
