Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) play an important role in accelerating the improvement of public welfare. In addition, SOEs contribute to national development through state revenues, both assets and business expansion, as well as their participation in supporting national economic recovery. Therefore, to advance SOEs, all stakeholders involved need to uphold core values, known as AKHLAK which stands for Amanah, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative.

“Through the implementation of the basic values of AKHLAK consistently, SOEs are expected to perform excellently and competitively. Thus, it brings Indonesia as a corruption-free country and moves towards the achievement of Indonesia’s Vision 2045,” said Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin at the Opening of the SOEs AKHLAK Award Ceremony 2022, Tuesday, (05/07/2022).

Furthermore, the Vice President also gave three special messages to all human resources in SOEs.

“First, make the AKHLAK philosophy an encouragement to keep working and innovating in serving the people, to win competitions as well,” he said

Additionally, the Vice President also advised dispelling the notion that SOEs will always be assisted if they underperforming or dealing with legal cases.

“If such this notion persists, SOEs could collapse, and leads to a bad impact on public services and the national economy,” he explained.

Lastly, the Vice President highlighted, always having an adaptive mentality to deal with disruption, improve self-abilities and create resilience as well.

“Thus, SOEs are able to survive various threats of disruption and not get stuck in a comfort zone. SOEs should continue to upgrade themselves along with the times so that they succeed in realizing the worldwide Indonesian SOEs,” he ended. (SM/LHS-BPMI, Setwapres)
