Vice President Jusuf Kalla officially opened the golf tournament of Universitas Hasanuddin Alumni Association (IKA-UNHAS) 2016 at the Riverside Golf Club in  Cimanggis, Depok, West Java province on Sunday (Oct. 16).

In his brief remarks, the Vice President who is also IKA UNHAS chairman asked the alumni to keep the good relationship among them through gatherings and having exercise together.

He also asked the alumni to take a part in the efforts of improving their alma mater quality.

“Yesterday in Makassar I met the rector and deans of Hasanuddin University discussing the efforts to improve the university’s quality. I urge you all to directly contact the deans should you wish to take part in the improvement,” said the Vice President.

Previously, the committee chairman of the tournament Anti Rifai reported that the golf tournament which was initially held by and limited for the alumni of Engineering Faculty has now developed to be for the whole alumni of Hasanuddin University.

This, Rifai continued, is aimed at building better networking not only among alumni but also between alumni and the university.

“Through this tournament, it is hoped that we will have better network among alumni and better synergy between alumni and UNHAS stakeholders,” she said.

Also attending the tournament were Supreme Court Chairman Hatta Ali and BRI CEO Asmawi Syam. (KIP,Setwapres)
