Jakarta. Vice President Jusuf Kalla received the visit of Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia HE Mr Hoang Anh Tuan today at his office.
Ambassador Hoang said at the meeting that Indonesia is a strategic partner to Vietnam. He also expressed his opinion on the issue and recent development of South China Sea.
The Vice President in reply appreciated what Vietnam did last year helping Indonesia to cope with the El Niño. He furher hoped both Indonesia and Vietnam could work together in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) for the welfare of the people of both countries.
“It is important to make a sinergy among ASEAN member states to face challenges from outside of ASEAN,” he said.
Accompanying the Vice President in the meeting were his deputy on government policy Dewi Fortuna Anwar and his expert staffs Sofjan Wanandi and Shinta Kamdani.
