Jakarta. Chairman of the National Scouts Movement (Kwarnas Pramuka) Adhyaksa Dault pays courtesy call to Vice President Jusuf Kalla at his office today.
His visit was to report the preparedness of Kwarnas Pramuka to hold the 10th National Scouts Jamboree in August 2016 in Cibubur, East Jakarta.
The jamboree, Mr Dault said, is held every 5 years for the scouts of penggalang level (those aged 11-15 years).
“The jamboree has not been held in Jakarta for 20 years. That is why we chose Jakarta to host the event,” he said.
He further asked the Vice President’s support for the jamboree, particularly in providing basic facilities such as electricity, water, and sanitary.
Responding to this, Mr Kalla will instruct the state-owned electricity firm PLN to provide electronic generators (genset) to supply electricity, while the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) will support with water tank vehicles.
At the occasion, Mr Dault also expressed his sympathy to the victims of Sarinah bombing in Jakarta occurred yesterday.
“On behalf of Pramuka movement, I extend my sympathy and condolences to the victims. I and I condemn the actors behind the tragedy,” he said.
