Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – Right after arriving at International Airport Soekarno Hatta Jakarta from NTB, the Vice President (VP) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin came to Masjid Quba in Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN RB) on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman No. 69, Senayan, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, to perform the prayer of the body of Minister PAN RB, Friday evening (07/01). As broadcasted before, the late Minister passed away today at 11.10 WIB (Indonesian western time) at Abdi Waluyo hospital due to illness.
After leading the prayer and praying for the late Tjahjo Kumolo, the VP sent his deep condolence to the family of Tjahjo Kumolo. He hoped that the family could have some patience and strength to go through this.
“We lost a good man. A good man who has contributed so much to this nation. Previously he was a Minister of Domestic Affairs and now Minister of PAN RB,” said the VP.
Furthermore, the VP talked about how the late Minister of PAN RB Tjahjo Kumolo was a hard worker during his lifetime.
“And as far as I know, for he managed what I concerned, about reformation and bureaucracy, he had given his best along day and night to create reformation and bureaucracy innovation, build the system and make major improvement,” he elaborated.
He was, the VP continued, even having the illness, but kept in touch with the VP and reported all progress.
“In some past days, even though he was ill, he kept contacting me. And he diligently gave reports in the form of books. As in the cabinet meeting, he always handed me and the President some books. So the reports were made into thick books,” he illustrated.
The VP even attended the Inauguration of MoU for Public Services Mal (MPP) Acceleration in the office of the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN RB) which was initiated by the late Minister Tjahjo Kumolo. Unfortunately, at the moment the minister was absent for being hospitalized.
“Having such trouble with his health, he still initiated coordination among ministries and institutions, governors and majors, in order to accelerate (the development of) the MPP,” he praised.
Lastly, the VP again assured us that the late Minister Tjahjo Kumolo was such a good person and he had contributed so much to this country and nation. Until today, the Almighty God called him back to His side.
“Therefore, let us pray for his kindness to be accepted by Allah SWT and I am so sure that he is a noble man with so many contributions to this country,” he ended. (DMA/LHS, BPMI Setwapres)
