The Importance of Ukhuwah Among Muslim Communities

Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – The Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin received the Shura Council of the Prophet’s Assembly, Habib Nabiel Al Musawa, at the Vice President’s official residence on Monday (15/08/2022).

During the meeting, the Vice President highlighted the importance of ukhuwah among Muslim groups.

“Now what is important, among these [muslim] groups, is how to unite all their potential. Don’t tear it apart,” the Vice President ordered.

According to him, although Muslims were divided into various groups, they still had enormous potential if they were directed properly for the benefit of the people.

“We should use that [potential] when it is really needed, and use it for the benefit of the people, not for politics,” said the Vice President.

Responding to this, Habib Nabiel Al Musawa emphasized that the Prophet’s Assembly would always strive to be istiqomah in da’wah that brings peace.

“We are basically istiqomah, anytime we invite da’wah, we do in peace,” responded Habib Nabiel.
On this occasion, Habib Nabiel invited the Vice President to attend the Prophet’s Assembly Conference which was planned to be held on 22 August.

Responding to the request, the Vice President accepted the invitation and said he would try to attend.

Also present to accompany the Vice President at the meeting were Head of the Vice President Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, Spokesperson of the Vice President Masduki Baidlowi, and Personal Secretary of the Vice President Sholahudin Al Aiyub. (DMA/LHS, BPMI Setwapres)
