After previously visiting a local bag factory in Wonogiri, CV Trackerindo Anugerah Sejahtera, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming visited PT Regarsport Industri Indonesia, a clothing company located in Brubuh Hamlet, Ngadirojo Lor Village, Ngadirojo District, Wonogiri Regency, Central Java, on Friday (27/12/2024).
In line with President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita mission, the visit is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen local-based industrialization to increase the added value of domestic products.
When giving a press statement after the review, the Vice President emphasized that his visit to the two factories was to directly understand the situation and conditions of the local industry, as well as various obstacles faced by business actors.
“We want to see the industries in the country, the factories, what the situation is like, whether the difficulty of raw materials, or marketing difficulties or production, the capacity is decreasing. This is what we have to review,” he said.
According to the Vice President, as directed by President Prabowo, the government is committed to helping local producers boost their productivity, as well as improve product quality and marketing strategies. In addition, the government also continues to encourage the public to love using domestic products.
“The order from Mr. President is clear. We must increase productivity in the country. We use local brands, and we must improve the quality of the goods and marketing methods,” the Vice President explained.
On this occasion, the Vice President appreciated the marketing system applied by PT Regarsport which he said was very innovative and effective in reaching consumers widely.
“I see that the marketing here is very good. There was a special team for live streams and content creators. So, this is extraordinary. And here, everything is custom-made, one-piece orders are served, and the customer gets free shipping,” he said.
In addition, he also appreciated the involvement of young people and the surrounding community in the company’s operations, so that the impact not only improves product quality but also makes a real contribution to local economic empowerment.
“Well, once again, because the products here are very good, there are many young people, the designers are also young people, and utilize the tailors around the factory. There are 21 [tailor] locations in 15 sub-districts. That is extraordinary,” he praised.
The Vice President also said that the government will continue to encourage local products such as those from PT Regarsport to, not only meet domestic needs, but also penetrate the international market.
“Thus, the multiplier effect is extraordinary and we will encourage the products to go global as well,” he concluded.
In addition to conducting a review, the Vice President also took the time to chat with the company’s management and buy several sports uniforms (jersey) at the sales outlet.
For information, PT Regarsport Industri Indonesia is a domestic company engaged in fashion. The products produced include various kinds of clothing, such as shirts, jackets, and sports uniforms. Other than that, the company also produces Muslim clothing and prayer mats.
PT Regarsport Industri Indonesia employs 559 people and cooperates with businesses around Wonogiri with 521 designer partners and garment partners. The company can produce more than 8,000 pieces of clothing every day.
Until now, PT Regarsport has established partnerships with more than 100,000 reseller accounts spread throughout Indonesia.
