Palembang, wapresri.go.id – The government aspires to make Indonesia as the global halal center in 2024. Therefore, the National Islamic Economics and Finance Committee (KNEKS) together with relevant ministries/institutions needs to synergize with local governments in strategic programs.

“A faster and more integrated movement is needed from all stakeholders in the Islamic economy and finance, not only at the national level, but also in the local level. Regional economic plays a vital role in the distribution of community welfare,” said Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin at the Inauguration of the Regional Islamic Economics and Finance Committee (KDEKS) and the board of directors of South Sumatra Sharia Economic Community (MES) at Sumsel Babel Bank (BSB) Palembang, South Sumatra, Wednesday (07/09/2022)

According to the Vice President, the synergy between the local government and certain stakeholders is a must.

“Ecosystems in the regions must be built and strengthened, therefore many programs can be implemented properly,” he said.

The Vice President also hopes that the board of directors of South Sumatra KDEKS can immediately work, and take strategic steps, coordinating with the central and local governments, even across regions, to implement sharia economic and financial policies in order to advance South Sumatra.

“A number of Islamic economic and financial programs that have been initiated should be continued and developed. Regional potential in the leading sectors of the sharia economy to continue to be explored. The halal product industry, sharia financial services, sharia social funds as well as sharia business and entrepreneurship have to be developed, including strengthening the halal industry MSMEs,” he explained.

Meanwhile, to the board of directors of South Sumatra MES, the Vice President also pushed to immediately formulate and implement working programs as well as possible.

“MES is also expected to be a partner of South Sumatra KDEKS in accelerating Islamic economic and financial growth in South Sumatra,” he appealed.

Launch of ZISWAF Mobile Banking and Mart-Booth Masjid BSB

In this event, the Vice President also inaugurated the launch of ZISWAF Mobile Banking and the Mart-Booth of the BSB Mosque, Babussalam Sabil Barakah Mosque.

The Vice President hoped that the ZISWAF mobile application will facilitate the community to distribute sharia social funds, as well as increase the collection and benefit of ZISWAF.

“The Mart Booth Mosque program is expected to further encourage the economy to move and grow through mosques, not only the welfare of the mosque congregation but also the surrounding environment,” hoped the Vice President.

On that occasion, the Vice President, accompanied by the Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru and the President Director of BSB Achmad Syamsudin, pushed the touch screen as a sign of the launch of the ZISWAF Mobile application and the Mosque Mart Booth.

“By reciting Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I declare that the Zakat Mobile application and Mart Booth Sumsel Babel Bank have been officially launched. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala always gives His inayah and bless for all the efforts we make,” he added.

At the end of the event, the Vice President witnessed the laying of the foundation stone groundbreaking for the BSB’s mosque, Babussalam Sabil Barakah Mosque.

“Hopefully the Babussalam Sabil Barakah mosque will not only become a path of blessing, but also become the center of sharia economy and finance in South Sumatra,” he concluded.

Previously, the President Director of BSB Achmad Syamsudin expressed his gratitude because Bank Sumsel Babel was trusted to be the place for the inauguration of the South Sumatra KDEKS and MES and witnessed directly by the Vice President.

“This (event) is proof that Sumsel Babel Bank is actively participating in contributing to economic development in South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung, including the development of the sharia economy,” said Achmad Syamsudin.

“We hope that BSB, especially the sharia business unit, can synergize with KDEKS and MES South Sumatra in order to develop a universal sharia economy which is rahmatan lil ‘alamin, through the development of a halal industrial ecosystem, ZISWAF financial management, community empowerment through mosques and Islamic boarding schools, and many other things, including MSMEs, of course, “he added.

Also present on the occasion were the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra Mawardi Yahya, the Mayor of Palembang Harnojoyo, the board of directors KNEKS and South Sumatra KDEKS, as well as the board of directors MES and South Sumatra MES.
