Depok, wapresri.go.id – Answering questions from the media crew about the issue of increasing fuel oil (BBM), The Vice President (Wapres) KH Ma’ruf Amin explained that it was still under discussion.

“There is a huge burden of state subsidies. Our subsidies are more than IDR 500 trillion. So, if there are further increases, this aims to the subsidy to be sustainable, so that it can continue,” said the Vice President in a press statement after attending the 23rd Haul Akbar of the Late Indonesian Ulema. Habib Umar bin Hood Alatas, in Depok, Saturday (20/08/2022).

However, the Vice President revealed, the discourse on the fuel price surge was still in the review stage.
