Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – To ensure positive national economic growth, all national elements in the politics, social, culture, and security must be strengthened as the challenges faced by Indonesia in the future will be heavier.

“Economy cannot be separated from national and political issues, as well as social issues,” said Vice President Jusuf Kalla when delivering a public lecture in front of participants of the National Resilience Institute’s (Lemhannas) annual training at the Vice Presidential Palace on Jalan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta, Monday (Aug. 28).

The Vice President further said that all problems in the economic, social, political, and security sectors have interrelationship and influence one another. National economic growth for example, he pointed out, can only be supported with stable political and security conditions.

“If it is not safe, no one wants to invest,” said the Vice President.

At the end of his speech, the Vice President advised the participants of the course projected to be an elite in various ministries and agencies to strengthen the government system down to the village level.

At the end of his speech, the Vice President advised the participants from various ministries, government institutions, social and civic organisations, and political parties to follow the whole programs of the training to develop inter-agency cooperation to solve the problems of the nation and to attain the national ideals.

Also attending the event were Governor of Lemhannas Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Agus Widjojo, Head of Vice President Secretariat Mohamad Oemar, Deputy for Policy Support on Human Development and Equitable Development Setwapres Bambang Widianto, and a member of the Vice Presidential Expert Team Sofjan Wanandi.
