Receiving Muhammadiyah Central Leader, Vice President Expects the 48th Congress to Formulate a Concrete Program to Produce Superb Human Resources

Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – Vice President (VP) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin received an audience from the Muhammadiyah Central Leader at the Vice President’s Official Residence, Jalan Diponegoro Number 2, Jakarta, Tuesday (15/11/2022).

During the meeting, the VP was invited to close the 48th Muhammadiyah Congress in Solo on November 20, 2022. The VP hoped that this congress could be a forum for formulating concrete programs to harvest superb Human Resources (HR), to build an Advanced Indonesia.

“So how can Muslims not become spectators in the development process, but become active parties to build themselves, to build this country,” said the VP as conveyed by the Spokesperson for the VP Masduki Baidlowi, after the meeting.

Furthermore, Masduki said, according to the VP, the active role of developing the country can be realized in two ways, namely by building human resources that implement moderate Islam and training experts in various scientific fields.

“How to build human resources who have a religious understanding that is compatible with nationalism,” said Masduki.

“Then build engineers, experts who can build this country,” he added.

The VP also believes, with the large number of Muhammadiyah members spread throughout Indonesia, as well as the well-established educational, health and social foundations, this organization can realize these expectations and become an important part of creating a Golden Indonesia in 2045.

“Muhammadiyah is expected by the Vice President to have a big role in the preparation of Golden Indonesia, and with the human resources capabilities of Muhammadiyah, the Vice President hopes that Muhammadiyah’s contribution to the nation and this country in the preparation of Golden Indonesia can be driven by Muhammadiyah friends,” added Masduki.

Closing the meeting, the VP expressed his willingness to close the 48th Congress which is planned to be opened by President Joko Widodo on November 19, 2022.

“This is the gong of this congress to start how to welcome from various aspects to achieve Golden Indonesia. The Vice President’s acceptance, the appreciation is extraordinary, and [the VP] is able, will come to close the Muhammadiyah congress later on 20 [November 2022] Inshaa Allah, in Solo, “concluded Masduki.

Also present in this audience were the Muhammadiyah Central Leader Haedar Nashir, the Leader of the Central Aisyiah Noordjanah Djohantoni, the Secretary of the Central Aisyiah Rohimi Zamzam, and the Leader of Muhammadiyah Central Java Tafsir.
