Mimika, wapresri.go.id – After completing a series of activities in Merauke Regency, South Papua Province, Vice President (VP) K. H. Ma’ruf Amin and Mrs. Wury Ma’ruf Amin and the limited group continued the working visit to Mimika Regency, South Papua Province , Wednesday (30/11/2022).

Previously in Merauke, the VP had a meeting with Acting Governor of South Papua, District Heads of South Papua Regency Apolo Safanpo along with the ranks of the South Papua Provincial Leaders Coordination Forum, religious leaders, and Merauke community leaders at Sakil Ballroom, Swis-Belhotel, Jalan Raya Mandala Number 53, Pemalih Bamboo, Merauke District.

Apart from that, the VP also greeted and held dialogues with the farmers in Semangga Jaya Village, Semangga District, Merauke. In this place, the VP handed over plant seeds and basic necessities to farmers.

Around 11.45 WIT (Eastern Indonesian Time), using the Indonesian Air Force’s Boeing 737-400 Presidential Aircraft, the VP and Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma’ruf Amin and his entourage took off from Mopah International Airport, Merauke to Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province. The line Officials at the departure procession at the airport are the Acting Governor of South Papua and all members of the South Papua Provincial Leaders Coordination Forum.

After traveling for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, the VP and his entourage arrived at Mozes Kilangin Timika International Airport, Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province at 12.05 WIT. Welcoming the arrival of the VP were Acting Governor of the Central Papua Province Ribka Haluk and Members of the Central Papua Provincial Leaders Coordination Forum.

Next, the VP left for the Rimba Papua Hotel on Jalan Kwamki Narama Number 1, Mimika, to inaugurate the Somatua Training Center Building and the Management Office of the Mimika Regency Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Branch.

Arriving at the Rimba Papua Hotel at 13.50 WIT, the VP accompanied by Mrs. Wury Ma’ruf and his entourage was greeted by the Welcome Dance by the Kanaan Dance Studio.

At the same location, the VP is also scheduled to receive an audience with the Acting Governor of the Central Papua Province along with members of the Central Papua Provincial Leaders Coordination Forum, and PT. Freeport leaders.

Meanwhile, after the series of activities in Mimika, South Papua Province were completed, the VP immediately continued his working visit to Kaimana Regency, West Papua Province.

Also accompanying the VP were, the Head of the Vice President’s Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, Special Staff of the VP Masduki Baidlowi, Muhammad Imam Aziz, and Robikin Emhas, as well as the Expert Team of VP Nurdin Tampubolon and Johan Tedja Surya. (NN /LHS– BPMI Setwapres)
