Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin this morning virtually opened the 2022 Indonesian SDGs Corporate Summit (ISCOS) organized by the Corporate Forum for CSR Development (CFCD) in Jakarta, Tuesday (06/09/2022).
On this occasion, the Vice President expected four important things from the implementation of ISCOS 2022 as an effort to capture contributions and collaborations of various parties in achieving the pillars of the SDGs. First, the momentum for the implementation of ISCOS 2022 was expected to be optimized to support Indonesia’s G-20 Presidency and the strategic agenda for achieving Indonesia’s SDGs.
“Participants should share knowledge, experiences, good practices, partnerships, and innovations to realize the SDGs targets that are integrative and inclusive,” he asked.
Second, the ISCOS 2022 activity was expected to be a means of education and socialization for all parties to actively voice and make various efforts in achieving Indonesia’s SDGs targets.
“Third, the approach taken by corporations in CSR to achieve the SDGs is to ensure that it is holistic and refers to global standards,” he said.
Regarding the implementation of CSR, the Vice President added that CSR activities were to encourage inclusive and environmentally friendly economic development efforts, as well as renewable energy practices in rural communities.
Furthermore, the fourth thing was, the Vice President hoped that ISCOS 2022 could present ideas and breakthroughs to overcome the need for financial support and the gap in financing the SDGs which was quite large.
“It takes creative innovation from all parties on funding instruments, collaboration in investment, and mobilizing funds from the APBN, the private sector, philanthropy, and the community,” he explained.
Ending his speech, the Vice President also officially opened ISCOS 2022 with the theme “Encouraging Sustainable Economic Environmental and Partnership for Inclusive Growth within the SDGs Pillars” which was held hybrid and centered in Bali.
“By saying Bismillahirrahmannirrahiim, I declare that the 2022 Indonesian SDGs Corporate Summit is officially opened,” he said.
Present at this event, a number of Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, Ambassadors of friendly countries or their representatives, Chair of ISO SGN International, Corporate Leaders and their staff, Chair of the Indonesian SDGs Corporate Summit, and CFCD Management.
Meanwhile, the Vice President was accompanied by the Head of the Vice President Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy for Economic and Competitiveness Improvement Policy Support Guntur Iman Nefianto, Deputy for Government and National Outlook Policy Support Velix Wanggai, and Special Staff for the Vice President for Communication and Information Masduki Baidlowi.
