Jakarta, wapresri.go.id – Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin offered his heartfelt condolences for the passing of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Tjahjo Kumolo on Friday, July 1, 2022, at around 11.10 WIB at Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Jakarta.
“We have lost a good person, the one who has been serving the nation as former Minister for Home Affairs, current Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform. He is the one I know, luckily, under my coordination on bureaucratic reform issues, he has been working day and night devising the national bureaucracy reform to build an adaptable reform system,” said the Vice President in his statement to the media, after performing a pilgrimage at the Office of the Ministry of Empowerment. State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform, Jl. General Sudirman No. 69 South Jakarta, Friday (01/07/2022).
The Vice President recalled Tjahjo Kumolo as a figure who played a big role in Indonesian politics and the reform of the national bureaucracy.
“He has contributed a lot to Indonesia, especially in the implementation of government bureaucratic reform,” said the Vice President.
In addition, the Vice President also remembers him as a diligent figure, especially in providing government performance reports that have been made in a book.
“I always consulted him and he always gave me books, his reports made in a book. He was very diligent and every time the Cabinet Meeting was held, there was always a book that was given to me and Mr. President Jokowi,” recalled the Vice President.
The Vice President also prayed for Tjahjo Kumolo to get the best place on the side of Allah SWT.
“We pray that Allah SWT will accept his soul, and we believe he is a good person and has contributed to the nation,” he concluded.
Tjahjo Kumolo (born in Surakarta, Central Java, December 1, 1957) is an Indonesian politician and has served as Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Indonesian Bureaucratic Reform since October 23, 2019, in the Onward Indonesia Cabinet.
Previously, he served as Minister for Home Affairs from 27 October 2014 to 20 October 2019.
He was elected as a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) of the Republic of Indonesia for the period of 2009–2014. (SM/LHS– BPMI Setwapres)
