President Prabowo Subianto, in a Limited Meeting (Ratas) on December 16, instructed all his staff to ensure the smooth running of the 2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) celebrations from various aspects, including the mobility of people returning to their hometowns or for the end-of-year holidays.

Following up on this direction, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming accompanied by Mrs. Selvi Gibran Rakabuming, conducted a review at the Tanjung Pura Toll Gate, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, on Tuesday (24/12/2024).

In the middle of heavy rain, the Vice President and Mrs. Selvi went directly to the field to ensure the readiness of the Tanjung Pura Toll Road and its various supporting facilities to create the smooth and comfortable mobility of the community during the Nataru celebrations.

As a part of the Binjai-Langsa Toll Road, the Tanjung Pura Toll Road has been temporarily opened from December 18, 2024, to January 7, 2025. It was open to serve the increased flow of vehicles during the year-end holidays. This toll road has been completed and is fully functional, but the continuation project to Pangkalan Brandan is still in the completion and trial stage.

Although still temporarily open, the Vice President hopes that the Tanjung Pura Toll Road will function optimally, so that the public can enjoy the Nataru holiday smoothly, safely, and comfortably. According to him, this toll road is very strategic to improve connectivity between regions, speed up travel time, and support logistics distribution in the area
