Banjar, wapresri.go.id – Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin opened the 29th National MTQ 2022 at Astaka Utama Kiram Park, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, Wednesday night (12/10/2022).

In his remarks, the Vice President emphasized that Muslims must be able to build the values ​​contained in the Qur’an and make them a solution in dealing with various national problems.

“The Qur’an must also be able to be an inspiration in building the values ​​of harmony, tolerance, and harmony, as well as solutions to various actual problems of the people and the nation,” said the Vice President.

The Vice President hoped that the younger generation of Islam would increasingly have a correct understanding of the contents of the Qur’an; therefore, it could be applied in social life.

“The younger generation of Islam must instill the correct understanding of how Islam views diversity in society. Emphasizing the goal of creating people with tribes and nationalities to know and respect each other,” hoped the Vice President.

On the same occasion, the Vice President said that every Muslim must be a superior person who masters science to benefit society.

“Every Muslim must be a superior person who masters knowledge and skills so that it can provide problems for the community. Science is the identity of the Qur’anic generation. I hope the younger generation of Muslims will have that identity,” said the Vice President.

Furthermore, the Vice President said that increasing knowledge must not stop but must always be sustainable to be relevant to the times. One of them, added the Vice President, is with iqra (read), which means that every Muslim emphasizes the continuous cultivation of knowledge that can be used to optimize the role of the leader on earth.

“The Qur’anic generation is also able to read the Qur’an and understand its contents so they can implement it in daily life. This is one of the characteristics of superior Human Resources who are in line with the Qur’an,” he concluded.

Previously, Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas reported regarding the technical implementation of the 29th National MTQ 2022. He also hoped this event could become a madrasa for the younger generation to know and love the Qur’an.

“Sure, this is not only a matter of pride but also a challenge for the government to facilitate the study of the Qur’an,” Yaqut added.
