Denpasar Bali, – After surveying the readiness of the sites which will be the venue for the G20 Summit, the Vice President (VP) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin and Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma’ruf Amin visited the Small and Medium Industry Exhibition (IKM) titled “Bali Rise” organized by the Regional Crafts Council (Dekranasda) of Bali Province, at Taman Werdhi Budaya Art Center, Jl. Nusa Indah No. 1 Panjer, South Denpasar, Denpasar City, Bali Province, Tuesday (30/08/2022).

“Able to attend the Bali Bangkit IKM exhibition, the Bali Bangkit small and medium industry organized by the Bali Province Dekranasda under the guidance of the Governor,” said the VP in his press statement.

Furthermore, the VP said that the location of this exhibition, which was previously rented out, can now be used for free by small and medium-sized businesses. So, craftsmen and artists can exhibit their works freely in this place.

“So with the existence of the Bali Bangkit IKM, which used to be rented out, it was changed to no rental, it was free so the artists could show off [their work], these IKM producers could take place without having to rent and be given such kind of curation and promotion. So this place has become a kind of training house,” explained the VP.

On the same occasion, the VP also shared various handicraft products that he saw during his inspection, such as leather bags, batik, cloth with various patterns and motifs, as well as glass crafts that were processed into decorative lamps and various tables and chairs.

“This is a big change and I saw earlier that there were many unique motifs, but after seeing the creativity, the innovation grew and gave birth to various creations,” said the VP.

“So I think this is an example in the region, a model in the region, this Bali Bangkit IKM is a model to be an example, it turns out that it can build small and medium industries,” he added.

Ending his visit, the VP also took the time to shop for various handicraft products on display at the Bali Bangkit IKM Exhibition.

“All kinds of things, I did shopping for cloth, rings, Madam [Hj. Wury ma’ruf Amin] also did shopping. Madam is also the General Chair of Dekranas, so she is very enthusiastic to see the clothes,” the VP concluded. (NN/LHS, BPMI – Setwapres)
