Medina, wapresri.go.id – After flying from Jakarta to Medina for approximately nine hours and twenty minutes, the Garuda Indonesia Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft carrying Vice President (VP) Maruf Amin and Lady Wury Ma’ruf Amin arrived at the Medina Royal Terminal, Saudi Arabia at 14.20 Saudi Arabian Time or 18.20 Western Indonesian Time, Tuesday (5/07/2022).
Some officials welcomed the Vice President and his wife, Lady Hj. Wury Ma’ruf Amin, under the plane stairs. Among them were Deputy Governor of Medina Wahib Bin Muhammad Alsihli, Ambassador of the Indonesia for Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, H.E. Abdul Aziz Ahmad, Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh Putut Witjaksono Hadi and Immigration Technical Staff Ahmad Zaini. In addition, there was also a row of Saudi Arabian military honorary troops standing for this welcome.
After a brief chat at the Royal Terminal Medina, the Vice President and Lady Wury Ma’ruf Amin continued their trip to the Hilton Medina Hotel. Afterwards, the Vice President and the entourage made preparations to perform Maghrib Prayer, take a pilgrimage to the Prophet’s Grave and Raudah, then perform Isha Prayer.
For approximately the next 7 days, the Vice President and Lady Wury Ma’ruf Amin will take the entire series of worship in Medina and Mecca. In the midst of the hot weather in the country, the Vice President and the official entourage continue to maintain their stamina and implement strict health protocols, in accordance with the rules of the Saudi Arabian government.
