Jakarta-wapresri.go.id. Vice President Jusuf Kalla has confirmed to attend the closing ceremony of the Forbes Global CEO Conference, which will be held on November 29 to December 1, 2016, in Jakarta.

This confirmation was revealed when he received Chairman and Editor in Chief of Forbes Media Steve Forbes who delivered an invitation to the conference to the Vice President at his office in Jakarta on Thursday (Sept. 1).

Mr. Forbes said that Indonesia has great potential to become a country with a strong economy.

“Some 400 CEOs of the world will attend the conference. This will be a good opportunity for Indonesia to promote the country as well as its business and investment opportunities,” he said.

The Vice President welcome and appreciated Forbes Media’s initiative in holding such an event.

He further said that the Indonesian government is working hard to use its internal force with budget efficiency to address the world economic crisis.

The Vice President also said, the government has been removing various local regulations that overlap with other regulations and hinder the ease of investing in Indonesia.

“Last month, we revoked 3,000 problematic regulations,” said the Vice President.

The Vice President added that the government keeps making efforts to improve the skills of government officials in a bid to deliver service excellence.

“We also implement an open-bidding system to enable professionals to sit in high-ranking posts in the government,” he said.
